personality: Outward, he's loud and prefers keeping to himself to avoid having to deal with responsibility. He'd spend a little while trying to make an excuse for any given reason to avoid doing something before giving in and just saying 'I don't care! I don't feel like doing it!'
He can be polite and forthcoming but it usually requires that someone already be on his good side and, even then, he'll probably whine instead anyway.

A younger version than who he is in the main storyline of One Piece, Garp is a fresh Marine recruit, eager to eat and toss pirates around. He's hot-headed, loud, highly impatient and runs with a moral compass that does its best to avoid being compromised by conflicted and corrupt higher-ups.

He hits stuff really, really hard.

His closest relationships would be fellow recruits to the Marines, including Sengoku and Tsuru who likely joined around the time that he had. Alternatively, there are likely a few fledgling pirates(ROGER) who he's scuffled with that he holds grudges against for getting away from him or getting in good hits on him.
I'm playing him m/f for relationships but he'll care about someone's personality not being cruel or sketchy.
